Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy services are provided at 4 sites across the Rockingham Peel Group:

  • Rockingham General Hospital
  • Mandurah Community Health Centre
  • Murray District Hospital
  • Kwinana Community Health Centre.
Rockingham General Hospital

The Physiotherapy Department at Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) provides an extensive range of services for both inpatients and outpatients.

Our objective is to provide the best quality of assessment and care based on established professional standards and available resources.

A combination of education, manual therapy, movement re-education, physical intervention and electro-physical equipment is used.

Our services include:

  • inpatient physiotherapy services for intensive care, general medical, surgical, orthopaedic, paediatric, obstetric, and rehabilitation inpatients including neurological rehabilitation.
  • outpatient services for a broad range of conditions e.g. post surgical, gender health, respiratory, vestibular, falls and balance, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • group outpatient services including pulmonary rehabilitation, strength and balance class and total knee replacement groups.

8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Weekend physiotherapy services are provided to inpatients as required.

Murray District Hospital

Our Mandurah Community Health Centre based physiotherapists provide a range of inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services at Murray District Hospital in Pinjarra.

Kwinana Community Health Centre

The Kwinana Community Health Centre Physiotherapy Service offers a range of physiotherapy services for patients with musculoskeletal problems, post-operative rehabilitation programs and mobility/balance problems. Treatments are developed after the initial assessment and may include manual therapy, electrotherapy, self-care advice, exercise programs and exercise classes.

Patients are referred to this service by General Practitioners and hospital clinics.

Mandurah Community Health Centre

All clients are seen following a referral from a general practitioner or allied health professional.

Our services include:

  • pulmonary rehabilitation
  • cardiac rehabilitation
  • diabetes fit
  • pilates
  • aquatic physiotherapy
  • first-time mothers group.
