Compliments or complaints

Understanding how patients experience care and services is essential

Compliments or complaints

We welcome all feedback in regard to our services and treat all comments and complaints seriously.

We strive to ensure every patient is given the best possible care and has a positive experience within our health service.

Please share your thoughts and ideas with us to help improve our health service. Tell us what:

  • we do well
  • we can do better
  • improvements you would like to see.

Button reads 'Send feedback'

How to share your feedback

You can lodge your compliment/complaint or feedback by various methods.

  • Speak with a staff member – wherever possible, provide verbal feedback directly to the staff member/s involved in your care.
  • Speak direct to a manager – should you feel uncomfortable approaching the staff member/s directly, request to speak with their manager.
  • Complete a feedback form – feedback forms are located on all wards and main public areas, or you can request a form from a staff member.
  • Present in person – ask at the main reception to speak with the Consumer Liaison Officer (available at Rockingham General Hospital only).
  • Telephone us – call the Consumer Liaison Officer on 9599 4323 or 9599 4632.
  • Email – send us an email.
  • Via post – write a letter to the Rockingham Peel Group via the address provided below.
  • Fax us – send to 9599 4251.

We endeavour to follow up all feedback in a timely manner and in accordance with the WA Health Management Policy. All information will be treated in confidence.

Share your experience on Care Opinion

Care Opinion (external site) is a social media platform where you can provide feedback about your experience, or the experience of someone you know, with one of our hospitals or our health service.

Anyone can use Care Opinion – it is available to all consumers.

By sharing your story on Care Opinion we:

  • listen and respond in ‘real time’ to your experiences
  • use the feedback to improve the quality of our services
  • strengthen relationships with our patients, their families, carers, staff and the community.

The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) is notified when a consumer comments about our hospitals or health services and our senior staff then respond to patient stories on behalf of the health service.
